Quote for thought

Have you ever heard something that someone has said and thought, oh wow I’ve never thought of that or actually that is so appropriate for my life now?  That’s what I love about quotes, sometimes they find their way into your life at the right time and they help make sense of what you are feeling.

Here are some of my favourite “That really makes sense” quotes!

  1. “All things seem impossible until they are done” – Nelson Mandela

This is my most used saying as it is just so true. Walking on the moon, driving cars, Heart operations, airplanes; these were all idea’s that seemed impossible at one point or another but with faith, courage and perseverance they all become possible. When you feel like you can’t achieve something or you can’t see a way out just remember that it is possible. If it has been done before then believe it can be done again and even improved.

  1. “If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place” – Lao Tzu

Have you ever had the experience where if you genuinely think positive, you look on the bright side or you physically feel that things will work out, greater things actually do come about. That’s what Lao Tzu means, by changing the way you think, looking for the silver lining or even changing the way you react to situations, you will be pleasantly surprised at how positive and  more productive you will feel and the positivity will continue to  manifest around you.

  1. “Too many people spend money they haven’t earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like” – Will Smith

This is so true today, too often we try to impress and please everyone but we forget ourselves. We invest time and energy where we shouldn’t. The right people will accept us even if all we can offer is a shoulder to cry on.

  1. “Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly” – Morticia Addams

This is a fun one to think about but yet strongly true, everyone has their own purpose for being alive, we all have our own paths, so what is meant for us is not necessarily meant for others to understand. If you are a little quirky or you feel that you don’t fit in then that’s great! We were not made to be the same.

  1. “I am thankful for all those who said NO to me. It is because of them I did it myself” – Albert Einstein

Being told NO or having a door closed is often a blessing in disguise and we don’t always recognise that. Sometimes we need to learn to do something on our own because that’s how we grow. Think about something you thought you wanted and didn’t get. Think about what you got and often you’ll find that it actually turned out to be better.

  1. “ I prefer to be crazy and happy rather than normal and bitter” – Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho is honestly a brills author, his writing is inspirational and practical. I love reading his books and quoting him. This one in particular; It’s okay to be normal but as long as you are happy and sometimes being normal is not enough. If you know you’re a little different, maybe you’re a little quirky and that’s okay! Embrace it darlings! It’s those who are not afraid to be who they are that add colour to the world. Be crazy, be daring just be happy.

I could go on and on with quotes but these are some of the one I’ve recently read and I wanted to share them. They may be so simple but they are clear. These ones in particular make me think about me as a person and help me to see the world in a different light and a positive one!

I hope you enjoy them too!

Comment below if you have any quotes that make you think about who you are or just make you think differently! I’d love to hear from you!

Blessings and Namaste
